Melbourne Histology Platform

Overview of Services

The Melbourne Histology Platform assists researchers to investigate animal, human, and plant anatomy at the microscopic level to understand basic biological processes and disease processes. We provide:

  • High quality biological tissue preparation, processing and staining for histology
  • A consulting service for experimental design
  • Access to sample sectioning and staining facilities
  • Training in histological techniques

2022 end of year operating changes

The Melbourne Histology Platform will close on Friday 23rd December 2022 and reopen fully on Monday 16th January 2023.

The 2022 cut-off date for paraffin processing is COB on Tuesday 20th December. After this time, no samples will be accepted for paraffin processing until Monday 16th January 2023.
