ABOUT US

Melbourne Isotope Analytics [MIA] conducts isotopic characterisation across diverse sample types and applications, from inorganic materials such as rocks and minerals, to human-made objects, all the way to organic/biological materials and their constituents, including soil/sediments, natural waters and bio-available components.

Our unified capabilities and service support cross-disciplinary, cross-sectoral collaboration and partnerships, from unique discovery research, to government-, commerce-, and industry-engaged co-development and translational research.

Our applications span mineral/rock dating and characterisation, to paleo/modern environmental and ecological reconstruction, paleo-to-modern forensics (incl. Archaeological Science), source-tracing and provenance work in Agriculture and Food Security, all the way to Life Science applications including isotope-based bio-imaging and disease characterisation/diagnostics.
